The Procedure

In San Diego, breast enlargement is performed in order to add volume to breasts. Based on the patients anatomy and desired outcome, a personalized treatment plan is created. Breast augmentation with either saline or silicone implants can restore breast volume and improve proportion in a young underdeveloped breast or an older post-pregnancy breast. The implants are inserted through incisions made in the breast crease or along the bottom of the areola (nipple). The implants are typically placed beneath the pectoralis (chest wall) in order to provide more natural-looking results. Most patients can return to work within a week, and can resume light exercise in 2 to 3 weeks. Full recovery takes four to six weeks.
