Facelift in San Diego

During a visit with Dr. Pollack, patients will undergo an evaluation in order to determine the most appropriate facelift procedure (“rhytidectomy”) technique. Typically, a standard facelift can improve the area below the eyes, down to the neck. The facial tissues are lifted to a more youthful position and excess skin is removed. This is often combined with an endoscopic mid-facelift, which can provide further support to the cheek area and diminish nasolabial folds. Post-surgery, scarring is inconspicuously hidden in the natural hairline.

Further facial rejuvenation can be achieved when facelift surgery is combined with other procedures, such as eyelid surgery (“blepharoplasty”) and/or browlift surgery (forehead lift). Puffy upper and/or lower eyelids can be corrected by removing excess skin, fat, and/or muscle with eyelid surgery. A browlift may improve a drooping brow and eliminate creases in the forehead.
