Facelift Surgery Cost in San Diego

facelift costIn San Diego, like many other popular plastic surgery markets, you will find a wide range of fees quoted when you are seeking facelift surgery.  It is important to understand several factors that affect the cost of facial surgery:

*The term “facelift” can mean many different thingsTraditional facelifts only include the cheeks, jowls and neck.  Eyes and Forehead are treated separately and can add to the cost of surgery.

*Expertise of the surgeon.  New surgeons, surgeons in other specialties (i.e. Ear, Nose and Throat), and surgeons operating out of their office may offer lower prices.  When seeking facelift surgery, it is best to find a surgeon who is board certified by either the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgeons or the American Board of Plastic Surgery.   Bargain prices might just lead to a bargain face…. not necessarily what you want.

*The type of anesthesia/O.R. setting offered may affect the cost.  Some surgeons will offer “light sedation” in the office at a lower cost.  Personally, I would prefer to be under the care of a Board Certified anesthesiologist and in a fully accredited operating room.

Considering all of these factors, you can expect to pay from $8,000 for a simple facelift to $15,000 and up for a facelift, eyelid lift and forehead lift in San Diego.

Keep in mind, these opinions and estimates are based on my own experiences as a consultant over the last 20 years.  My honest advice is always to seek multiple opinions, and to do your research!
